Power Tools: A D/s Manual
Concepts, tools, best practices, and pitfalls
Level: All levels
Class style: Lecture and discussion
Dominance and submission is one of the hottest and most rewarding aspects of BDSM. It has so many types and flavors and it could be experienced in so many levels of intensity that anyone interested in it can find a way to enjoy it.
Join us in exploring techniques that would help you incorporate D/s into your play and help you build healthy D/s relationships.
We will discuss different models of D/s and explain the commonalities and differences between them. That will help you find out what the possibilities are, choose one that’s suitable for you, or design your own.
We will cover tips you can use to prepare yourself and get in the mood before a play session, and tips to help you get out. We will also cover techniques to help you exude the kind of energy that suits your role in a D/s dynamic.
To help you succeed in D/s relationships, we will talk about positive and negative patterns that affect these relationships, and the conversations you need to have with your partner to avoid common pitfalls.
Testimonials
You both are so prepared and present so well. Always love hearing both of you speak. I always love demos!
The class gave an excellent overview of how to establish the D/s dynamic. I really appreciated all the handouts.
I really enjoyed the shared knowledge of the instructors + the wide variety of experiences they had to share. The structure, handouts, + so on are really excellent + I look forward to referencing these materials for the future.
Amazing information! I feel I can apply the concepts. Personally, there is a barrier to imagine it. The guide is easy to follow to get started.
Useful thorough handouts
Clearly prepared instructors
The space was freezing so I was a little distracted about being cold
Thank you for bringing extra pens
It did not treat D/s as there is only one way to do D/s. I am taking away that it can be a pick and choose what works. The warnings about what can go wrong (pitfalls).
Providing an actual guide and structure to creating a variety of dynamics. As a non-monogamous switch it gave me many considerations between who is a D/s play partner vs a D/s dynamic partner.
What I liked was a good portion of the class was ideas that my partner and I are already doing but it made me think of ways that I can improve our dynamic that I didn’t think about before or even know to ask for.
The clear structure, helpful & detailed explanation of concepts & then very well laid our plan on how to setup & maintain the dynamic. Also appreciated the personal examples interspersed that made things clearer.
A huge amount of kink to me feels like walking through a dense fog. Structures like the ones outlined here feels like having a map or recipe.
Power Tools is the Third clas I have taken from KinkRx and each class has been very thorough. The classes have been small in size which have allowed for individual attention. The information has been broken down between Dani, Ronnie, and Cake that has been easily digestible. Breaks in between each section have been great to recoup between long sections of dialog.
The D/s class establishes an effective sandbox to adapt your personal dynamic into, while not prescribing any specific methods as the best. I felt the info was safe, consent focused, and informative, and gave me a lot to take to real life to think about.
I have been to several KinkRX classes at this point and not only do I always feel like I’ve learned new & useful, I often recommend the classes to others.
KinkRx class is for anyone in the kink community regardless of background and experience. The money you put in to purchase ticket for the class is very much worth paying for. The D/s class is a very in-depth class and I highly recommend anyone to take.
I wish I could have attended this class years ago when I first began exploring D/s with my partners. It provides a thorough and actionable framework for how to approach this exploration, and does so in a way that I truly believe sets people up for successful and fulfilling D/s relationships for all parties involved. The instructors are humble, and it is so clear their intent is to facilitate people through their own journey, as opposed to preaching or being prescriptive about the "right" way.
Exploring D/s is a fantastic class filled with valuable information to apply to your own D/s journey. Whether just dipping your toe in or if you’re already practicing D/s, there’s food for thought for all who attend. They even provide snacks! I will definitely be attending more classes by KinkRx.
