This is hot! But it hurts! But it’s hot! But it hurts! But it’s hot!

If that sounds familiar (in your own voice or someone else’s), we have ideas for you to try. Sometimes a particular kind of play sounds great but is hard to process when you do it, but then continues to resonate afterwards even so. What do you do with that, as a top or as a bottom? What do you do with “curious about but also afraid of”? How do you negotiate for things that only work for you above a certain level of turn-on?

This class will offer some suggestions on ways to cooperatively explore things that are difficult (for the bottom or for the top). We’ll offer a wide variety of tools we’ve learned to increase success, and useful traffic cones for failure modes both overt and subtle. Some of this can involve risk, but we think there are ways partners can choose to stretch what they’re capable of with intentional collaboration.

Taught using a combination of lecture, live demo, and classroom activities, with the playful chemistry of experienced educators Russell and Paige.

Educator bio

Russell has been teaching popular kink-related classes since 1999. He also runs Lovingly Handmade Pornography, which is both sneakily educational and an attempt to prove that intensity and fun aren't mutually exclusive in BDSM porn.

Educator bio

Paige (she/her) Kinky since forever, gleefully entered the Seattle scene in 2001. Poly, bottom, educator by trade.

This class is produced by KinkRx+

What is “KinkRx+”?
KinkRx+ hosts classes by educators who are not part of the KinkRx teaching organization. Our goal is to bring you all the information that helps you on your journey of exploring kink. If we think someone else has good things to teach, we will support them in getting the information out into the world.
Some of the opinions expressed by these educators can differ or conflict with what is taught in KinkRx classes. We see that as a positive thing. While we will not host educators who teach things we believe to be factually incorrect or impossible to do safely, we believe it’s important to present different perspectives and give people the opportunity to decide for themselves what they prefer to do. After all, this is “adult” education: Learn different points of view, do your own research, and form your own opinions.
